Welcome

The BTS Committee welcomes you to the Annual Scientific Meeting in Birmingham, UK this year!

Come and join us to hear a stellar line-up of keynote speakers, new research and developments, as well as the Dinner and Social which builds on the success of the last few years, which as always is a great chance to socialise and network in a relaxed atmosphere with wonderful entertainment.

We will once again be holding the SETS (Surgical and Emergency Trauma Skills) Course, under the leadership of Prof Ian Pallister. We are also holding our regular well-received Medicolegal Masterclass workshop which provides an essential introduction and update on key issues facing those working in Trauma.

Abstract Submission

We invite submissions across all fields of trauma care from medical and surgical professionals, allied healthcare practitioners, and students. Welcome contributions include:

  • Original research and multi-centre studies
  • Clinical audits and quality improvement projects
  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses
  • Case series and innovative practice reports

Selected abstracts will be presented as oral presentations at this national forum.

We will be awarding prizes of up to £500 for the best work in various fields – so it is well worth your while to submit and be in a chance for winning!

SETS

SETS (Surgical and Emergency Trauma Skills) Course : Master essential trauma skills through hands-on simulation and expert instruction. This intensive course provides practical training in surgical techniques and emergency procedures that can make the difference in critical trauma situations.
