About the SETS Course

Please arrive at 08:30 to the venue on the day

Time: 08:30-17:15

Military grade, highly realistic surgical simulations will be used to illustrate and allow the participants to experience and perform damage control techniques! Led by Prof Pallister

Casualty Simulation Scenarios and Skills Stations:

  1. Introduction to Damage Control Surgery
  2. Introduction to Mass Casualty Management (including NHS MITT & TST)
  3. Code RED – The Exsanguinating patient
  4. Code BLACK – Head injury & difficult airway management
  5. Code PINK – Trauma in Pregnancy  
  6. Code WHITE – Extremity Trauma 
  7. Code GREEN – Abdominal Trauma
